SNAP Benefit Replacement
Requesting SNAP Benefit Replacement
SNAP recipients in the counties below can request a benefit replacement for food lost or destroyed because of the July floods:
Bandera, Bexar, Burnet, Caldwell, Coke, Comal, Concho, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Llano, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, Reeves, San Saba, Tom Green, Travis and Williamson.
SNAP recipients have until Aug. 4, 2025, to request a benefit replacement.To request a benefit replacement, SNAP recipients don’t need to visit an HHS office. They can choose one of the following options:
1. Call 2-1-1, select a language and choose Option 7.
2. Visit a local HHSC office. To find one, visit YourTexasBenefits.com and click “Find an Office” at the bottom of the page.
3. Submit Form H1855 to request a benefit replacement by mail or fax:
o Mail to Texas Health and Human Services, P.O. Box 149027, Austin, TX 78714-9027.
o Send a fax to 877-447-2839.
Funds should be placed on Lone Star Cards within two business days of receiving the request.
